Aethir Unveils $100 Million Fund to Fuel AI and Gaming Innovation
Aethir, a leading player in decentralized GPU cloud computing, has announced an ambitious initiative to invest $100 million in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and gaming companies through its newly established Aethir Ecosystem Fund. At the heart of this initiative is the Aethir Catalyst, a dedicated grant program within the Ecosystem Fund that will distribute $20 million to support over 100 innovative projects in the gaming and AI spaces. Aethir, headquartered in Singapore, is actively harnessing under-utilized graphics processing units (GPUs) across various industries for cloud-based computing. The Aethir Catalyst program includes the distribution of 336 million ATH tokens over the coming year, split equally between AI and gaming projects. The Ecosystem Fund also anticipates a major expansion of Aethir’s infrastructure through its Edge network. To facilitate this growth, the Aethir Foundation plans to allocate up to 100 ATH per device daily for Edge devices, thereby boosting computing availability across the network from November 2024 through mid-2025.
